Starting

  1. Open the app and choose Start a new desk.
  2. Under Punjab and Haryana High Court, type your enrolment number (for example P/1234/2010) and tap Look up. Tick the cases you want and tap Add.
  3. For NCLAT cases, search by your name, a party or the case number, then tick and add.
  4. To bring a whole list in at once, use From a spreadsheet with an Excel (.xlsx) or CSV file. The first row must name the columns, one of them "Case Number". The High Court and NCLAT cases in the file are then matched with the courts' records, a few at a time, and their dates and orders follow.
  5. Any other case can be added manually: choose the forum and the case type, type the number and choose the year. Typing a few letters narrows each list. You can also type a line such as "CP(IB) 79 of 2023 NCLT Chandigarh" to fill in everything at once.

Common questions

Why does a High Court case show no orders yet? After a case is added, the app reads its dates first and its orders afterwards. With many cases this takes a while, because the app spaces out its requests so as not to burden the court's website. Leave the app open, or open the case and pull down to update it straight away.

Can my colleagues see my cases? Only if you invite them. Settings, Account and desk, Set up the desk in iCloud, then Invite colleagues.

Is my data sent to you? No. See the Privacy Policy.

A date or a listing is wrong. The app shows what the court's website showed when it was last read. Pull down to update. Always check the court's own record.

Which courts does the app read automatically? The Punjab and Haryana High Court, the NCLAT (New Delhi and Chennai) and the cause lists of the NCLT. An NCLT case is looked for in the list of the bench its case number names, for example CP (IB) 12/Chd/Hry/2024 in the Chandigarh list. Cases of any other court can be added manually.

A case from my spreadsheet shows no dates. The app could not find it on the court's website under the number in the file. Open the case, check the number, and correct it. Cases of courts the app does not read stay as you entered them.

I filed today and have only a diary number. Type the diary number in the High Court search and choose Follow this filing. The app shows any objections the registry raises, and adds the case to your desk once the registry numbers it.

How do I turn off the board on the Lock Screen? Settings, Notifications, Court board on the Lock Screen.

How do I take my data out? Settings, Account and desk, Export the case list.
